1849 is the first self-produced, self-recorded compilation of music by Casachanclas. The album was created over a 6 month period in an eccentric architectural corner of Berkeley California known as Normandy Village, which is featured on the cover. 1849 is intended as a sequence of musical vignettes that flow into each other, with tracks that can also stand alone.
